Making Waves
ADOBE HALF PAGE ZINE, 2024
Holly Rose Stones was commissioned by the @adobelive community to create an artwork for their zine Half Page, celebrating Women’s History Month and the theme "Making Waves" in the creative industry.
Her piece reimagines a 2018 portrait inspired by the octopus, using bold coloUrs. The orange starfish, contrasted with a deep ocean blue backdrop, symboliSes the regeneration of life and her personal journey within the creative industry. As a woman navigating societal pressures, she has embraced new creative awakenings, prioritizing growth and innovation over convention. Her guiding principle is to continuously experiment, allowing vulnerability to lead to new and exciting creative possibilities-making her own waves.
